Online Play welcomes Pick 3 and Pick 4 players

Add Carolina Pick 3 and Carolina Pick 4 to the list of lottery games in which you now can buy tickets online.

This month, the Pick 3 and Pick 4 games join the lottery’s Online Play program.

Online Play offers a convenient way to get your tickets. You can buy on the website or with your NC Lottery Official Mobile App.

Many lottery players will still get their tickets at retail locations. But some of you have already moved online for purchases. It’s great that you now have the choice to buy your Pick 3 and Pick 4 tickets how you would like to buy them.

Online Play also offers additional convenience when you win prizes. If you win, you will receive an email stating that winnings under $600 will automatically be placed in your NC Lottery balance. If you win $600 or more, you will receive an email and a pop-up when you sign in instructing you how to claim your win online.

Besides Pick 3 and Pick 4, tickets available through Online Play are Powerball, Mega Millions, Lucky for Life, and Carolina Cash 5.

What is Online Play?

Online Play allows you to purchase tickets online on the lottery’s website, nclottery.com, or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App with your personal NC Lottery account. Simply complete the identity and age verification and fund your account.

I don’t have an NC Lottery account. How do I get one?

If you don’t have an NC Lottery account, the first step is to create one. New users can register for an account by clicking on Sign In at the top right corner of the website (or bottom right corner of the app). This takes you to a page where you can click Create an Account to sign up.

I’m all signed up and verified. How do I fund my account so I can buy my Pick 3 or Pick 4 tickets?

Once you have an NC Lottery account, you will be ready to deposit funds to your balance and purchase tickets online. You can fund your account using a debit card, PayPal, Online Banking or by ACH Bank Transfer from a personal checking account. Then you follow the steps to pick your numbers and select your drawings.

What about my Lucke-Rewards point? Do I get Lucke-Rewards points with Online Play tickets?

Yes. Just like you get Lucke-Rewards points when you buy tickets at the store you also get those with Online Play. One benefit of Online Play is that you automatically get Lucke-Rewards points on your Online Play purchase with no additional ticket entry required. However you earn the points, you use them to enter weekly or monthly Lucke-Rewards drawings for fun prizes.

Lottery's full of BS. I won the pick 3- 3-13-2023 for 330 dollars and they refuse to give me my Damn Money. I had to up load My driver license which I did. But they had no problem taking money out of my bank account to play. Worse mess I ever seen in my life. They lied said they would call no one call me. The next LIE was it had to do with the mega millions. I did not play that game this a bunch of Bull SH+$ NEVER AGAIN I never had a problem in the store and won more. Some one should be fired they told me 7 day's so anyone have a number I can call and file a complaint?NC Lottery
Hi, Synora! We're sorry about that - for the first withdrawal request, players will need to submit those documents to verify their identity. After that first request, you won't need to complete this process again!

I’ll stick to in store play for P3 and P4. The process to withdrawal funds once you have won is horrible! Maybe because it is fairly new and still have to have some adjustments made to releasing the funds into your account in timely manner.Nonetheless my winnings was released into my account.

There seems to be an error with the 2nd chance carolina jackpot dates.you list the start date as June 3,2022 for drawing 5.but drawing 4 ended oct.2022.shouldnt draw 5 date be JAN.3,2023?NC Lottery
Hi, Edith! All players who entered in the previous drawings were automatically entered in drawing #5 - this is not a progressive jackpot drawing, but a drawing for a set prize of $200,000. Thus, players can still earn entries for this drawing, but original entries from Drawings #1-4 are counted for players as well.

Better off just playing in the store takes too long for the withdrawal process just to play pick 3. Useless claim center keep saying mega millions has to be process.Don’t play Pick 3 online play in store and get your winning faster. Ten days and still waiting

Hi, Henrietta! If you click on "Transaction History" under your account (or username in the top right corner of our desktop site) there will be a section called "Upcoming Purchased Draws" - you'll be able to see any upcoming draw tickets and the numbers there!

Thank you for finally providing this option! The lottery machines that are provided for "convenience" jam so often, "out of order" signs are placed on them causing you to stand in line anyway to purchase tickets. I can't see why anyone would stand in line with this option. It slso saves lots of paper that would be wasted on slips (new game options won't require a whole batch of slips I need to fill out) and ticket print outs. PLEASE put Keno online to completely offer mobile convenience!

I'm here to say it's ABOUT TIME, amazing. Easier, morning/mid-day/afternoon... or evening,i'm able to just literally log-in, at home computer or at work or in my car etc., play a few pick 3 for the day or evening, or BOTH, few days or more a week. Correction to the question? If you win 2 $500 prizes deposited into your online account do you have the option to withdraw 500 at a time which doesn't require the tax forms or since your winnings total $1000 you are still required to fill that form out?NC Lottery
Hi there, Antonio! You are able to withdraw only a portion of your winnings if you want! If you win more than $600 in a year, you'll receive a 1099 Form in the mail at the end of the year, but no taxes will be withheld from individual prizes under $600 - those will be deposited in full directly into your wallet in your account.

Now with this option if you play the same number 2 twice will it be considered 2 $500 prizes or one $1000 prize if played for $1 which which then would require going to a headquarters to collect? If so I'll just keep purchasing at retail dealers.

Hi, Arthur! Individual wins under $600 will be deposited into your account, so if the separate wins are under $600, you will not need to go in person to claim. If you win more than $600 but less than $100,000, you will still be able to complete the claims process online.
