Wow! Someone walked into a Halifax County convenience store Wednesday morning, bought a $10 50X The Cash ticket, and took home $137,093.
The winner purchased the lucky ticket at the Speedway on West 10th Street in Roanoke Rapids. At the time of the purchase, the jackpot stood at $137,093. Since it was a $10 ticket, the winner receives 100% of the jackpot.
The winner has 180 days to claim the prize at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.
The instantly growing jackpot increases with every ticket sold until it is won. After Wednesday’s win, the jackpot started over at $20,000.
