Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot increases to $414 million

The Mega Millions jackpot rolls on as it reached $414 million for Friday night’s drawing.

A North Carolina winner would have the choice of taking home the $414 million jackpot as an annuity or $221 million in cash.

The last jackpot win came in the Jan. 31 drawing when one ticket in Massachusetts took home the $31 million jackpot. That win marked the fourth jackpot win in the month of January alone, setting a record for the most jackpot wins in a single month in Mega Millions history.

Even though the jackpot remains up for grabs, North Carolinians are taking home lots of other prizes as Tuesday’s drawing produced more than 23,000 winning tickets in North Carolina.

The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million.

Players can buy Mega Millions tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com, or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.

I am still having trouble with second chance i have deleted the app reloaded it called nc lottery i still cannot see the second chance winners from last week or my entries i sure hope someone is working on thisNC Lottery

Come on NC it's time to Win the Big one I could use it for sure we are both in our 60's everything in the house needs replacing heat and air pump septic lines the well water needs new filters appliance dang why does everything seem to break down at the same time NC Lottery

Don't donate to colleges as most are sitting on millions & still getting money! Good luck everyone. I know most of us could use the money right now with the price of everything continuing to rise...well except for our money that we live on. Doesn't equate at my house ..lol.. Happy Easter. The North Carolina education lottery has been around since August 31, 2005. They brag about all the millions of dollars they have given to the schools. They need to take some of that money and hire consultants, and determine if children are graduating at higher levels of education them before the lottery. My guess is NO. NC Lottery
Hi Donald, We make available over 900 million dollars a year to the state for education. Elected officials, not the lottery, decide how best to use the money we raise. Since the lottery began, the money has been directed to pay for programs like school construction, prekindergarten programs, and college scholarships.
