Deadline to claim prizes on 15 scratch-off games hits next Thursday

Your chance to collect prizes on 15 scratch-off games ends in one week. After Thursday, May 25, you won’t be able to claim any prizes for the following games:

  • $30 ticket: $10,000,000 Colossal Cash
  • $10 tickets: Platinum 7s, $500,000 Cashword, Carolina Jackpot (#837), Holiday Cash Blowout
  • $5 tickets: Bonus Bucks, 20X The Cash (#822)
  • $3 tickets: LOTERIA™ (#813), Fash Cash SLINGO®
  • $2 tickets: Magic 8 Ball™, Cash Match, Carolina Jackpot (#835), Holiday $100’s
  • $1 tickets: Lucky 7’s (#803), Tic Tac Multiplier

Reminder: All prizes must be claimed by no later than 5 p.m. Thursday, May 25. Claims between $600 and $99,999 must be made at one of the six regional claim centers before 5 p.m. that day. Claims of $100,000 or more must be made at lottery headquarters in Raleigh before 5 p.m. on that day as well.

Hi Peggy, today is the last day to claim prizes won from these scratch-off games. For Lucke-Rewards and Second Chance drawings a winner has 30 days from the day we first attempt to notify them to claim their prize.

Has the NCEL publicly stated that it is unethical for a cashier/clerk to buy scratch offs while on duty at the store?NC Lottery

While there is no law in North Carolina barring retailers or their employees from playing the lottery, more than 80 percent of all lottery retailers in North Carolina report having a “No Play on Duty” policy for employees, including 99 percent of corporate retailers such as grocery and convenience store chains. Rest assured, our security teams look into every win and lottery prizes are only awarded when there is no evidence to suggest something is wrong.

@NCEL I played $60 worth of $5 Luke progressive tickets yesterday not a single WIN, but I see there was 4 with $500 to $1000. How can my timing be so off that out of $60 I can't even get a break even prize yet others are winning $500 to $1000.NC Lottery
