Greensboro woman snags $200,000 scratch-off prize

Shelia Harris of Greensboro took a chance on a $5 scratch-off and won a $200,000 prize.

Harris purchased her Mega Bucks ticket from E.T.’s Quick Stop on N.C. 96 in Youngsville.

She collected her prize at lottery headquarters Friday and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $142,501.

Mega Bucks debuted this month with eight $200,000 prizes. Five $200,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

why cant I scan ticket on my app. I have emailed nc lottery they tell me they are working on it but I still cant scn my tickets thats been going on for 2 months now.Also why are big winners come from the bigger cities never hear about them in small towns like Thomasville I believe they send the bigger winners to the high volume cities and stores . Just my 2 cents worth .

Why do the $30 tickets have the lowest winning amount;such as $30 $60 $100 NEVER $500 or a thousand or more it’s always on the the low end I play a lot so I knowNC Lottery
