Powerball plus Mega Millions surpass $900 million in jackpots

Players can celebrate the 4th of July with two upcoming jackpots that total $922 million.

Tonight’s Powerball drawing provides the first chance to win with a jackpot worth $522 million as an annuity or $269.6 million in cash. Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing features a jackpot worth $400 million as an annuity or $205 million in cash.

Saturday’s Powerball drawing saw another big win in the state as a ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in the drawing. The $2 ticket was purchased at Parkwood Food Mart on Parkwood Avenue in Charlotte.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million. The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million.

Players can buy Powerball or Mega Millions tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com.

What determines how many people win on a given day playing Fast Play Progressive????? For instance there was twice as many wins on 6/30 vs. 7/1. I hope you will provide some explanation, PLEASE.NC Lottery
