A new $30 ticket promises big wins this First Tuesday

So, buy six or seven $30 ticket to win a minimum of $50. Doesn't sound like good economic math for the player to me. I so happy when online sports betting start in NC.

I wish we had the option of editing our posts. In my previous reply I meant to say I did find 5 tickets in the trash rather than didn't. I know people knew what I meant, but it would still be nice to be able to edit it.

@James P. - We're sorry about that! If a player wins over $600 and owes a debt to a state agency or a local government agency, that debt must be collected out of lottery prize before the winner is paid. It reduces the amount of prize money you get, but at the same time, you get to pay off a debt that you may have been worrying about! This only applies to debts that are considered "delinquent," meaning that the person who owes the debt is behind on payments. Here's more info on how the program works: http://www.ncsetoff.org.

@ Amy D. I haven't played this one yet, but I didn't find 5 discarded tickets in the trash can. The numbers were 11-15 and the player didn't win anything. I entered them for the second chance drawings. I feel sorry for anyone who takes big chances like that and loses. Odd thing, I also found a discarded 200x the cash ticket with the barcode intact. I scanned it and got a $30.00 winner.

glad to see the new $30.00 ticket with a minimum win of $50.00 on a winning ticket if you are lucky enough to get one. no luck so far but the minimum win of $50.00 will keep me trying occasionally, this ticket is long over due

I haven't one anything on these tickets lose lose lose is all I've done and all my girl has done. Different stores same stores different roles same rolls it doesn't matter. It's sad really the one time I actually won something $5,000 off a pick 4 I got a check for $128. Yeah took the whole thing for money I never had a clue I owed. Then I had to pay the federal taxes on it. So I had to pay to win the lottery. Wish I could just say someone owes me $5,000 from 15 years ago on something they have no clue about and someone take it from them and give it to me no questions asked. No court , no letters, never took any of my taxes all those years. Never on a credit report. And sad part is it was during the pandemic and we ended up being homeless right after. Me and my family struggled to get back on our feet. But we never hear those stories out the lottery do we. Not at all

Amy, what you describe is very possible. It is not a good idea to buy so many tickets in a row. The wins are distributed randomly. I didn't play this game yet, but I played the previous one, that is being closed now. I bought ONE ticket ( can't buy more, because they are so expensive) and won $300. It is all just luck. And by the way, several times I bought 2 tickets in a row ($5, $10), and both were winners. Don't get discouraged, but don't go overboard playing. The winning tickets are definitely out there.

“Promises big wins”…it also promises big loses! I played SIX in a row starting with 000 and didn’t get a single win! This game is not for me, for sure! Hopefully someone got a good prize after my epic losing run
