Charlotte man snags $100,000 scratch-off prize

Miles Bynum Sr. of Charlotte took a chance on a $30 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.

Bynum bought his lucky $5,000,000 Ultimate ticket from Queens Market on West Sugar Creek Road in Charlotte.

He arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to collect his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,259.

The $5,000,000 Ultimate game debuted in March with five $5 million prizes and 15 $100,000 prizes. Four $5 million prizes and nine $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

Congratulations to all the winners. I pray a can win I don't need a big lump sum just enough to pay the rest of the money for my son to go to college. I feel like I'm letting him down by not having the money. 10, 000 is a lot to come up with and paying 1000 a month will be hard on me. I'm just going to put it God's hands hopefully it will work out by Tuesday so he can attend. Everyone have a nice day.
