Deadline to claim prizes on 16 scratch-off games hits next Thursday

Your chance to collect prizes on 16 scratch-off games ends in one week. After Thursday, Aug. 24, you won’t be able to claim any prizes for the following games:

$20 tickets: 100X THE CASH (#765), Premier Cash, Grand Money, Holiday Spectacular

$10 tickets: Jumbo Bucks, $50 or $100

$5 tickets: Cash Payout, $35,000,000 Blowout, SUPER LOTERIA™ (#829), Mega Bucks Limited Edition, Holiday $500’s

$3 ticket: Holiday Ca$h For Word$

$2 ticket: Gold

$1 tickets: Carolina Jackpot (#834), Washington, Holiday $50’s

Reminder: All prizes must be claimed by no later than 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24. Claims between $600 and $99,999 must be made at one of the six regional claim centers before 5 p.m. that day. Claims of $100,000 or more must be made at lottery headquarters in Raleigh before 5 p.m. on that day as well.

How is that certain numbers can be blocked on the pick four if you don’t know what’s coming how is the system able to block this . Why do nc have to wait a long time before a quad number is drop however to the system keeps repeating the same number in the pick three . You telling us that the balls just drop that way . Hi, Sheila! Sometimes with popular numbers, the “liability limit” is reached, meaning enough players have selected a number that the lottery must stop sales of that number for that draw. The reason for this is to ensure that the lottery could pay out the prize money should those numbers hit!

@NCEL. Yet another repeat 799 Fireball 2 again this number been out (3) times this month smh get real NCEL lottery. We still got numbers that has never hit in NC lottery history.

NCEL you explained to a previous player that all numbers have the same odds of coming out. Explain then why a low payout number like 601 has dropped 9 times in 2023 and a high payout number like 123 has only dropped 3 times. No explanation necessary.

NCEL if it was true that the odds are the same for all numbers why aren't trips repeating? It can't be the same odds for all numbers. Your players are telling you that MC has too many repeating. There is money explanation for it. Hoping NCEL will do better but they don't have too. It is all in the game. When people get tired they will stop playing. Without players there definitely won't be any winners. NC Lottery
Hi Shirley, the odds of a particular triple coming out are exactly 1 in 1,000. Those odds never change, no matter how recently or long ago a triple came out. We love it when popular numbers come up at random, because that means our players win a bunch of prizes! But for draw games to be fair, every number has to have the same chance of being drawn.
