Durham woman wins $168,750, the largest win in Keno history

Tiffany Warner of Durham tried her luck on a Carolina Keno ticket and won $168,750, the largest prize won in the history of the Keno game.

Carolina Keno lets you choose how many numbers, or spots, you play and your choice determines your odds and the prize you play for.

Warner’s big win occurred Friday afternoon with a multiplier ticket purchased during the last Carolina Keno Bonus hour promotion. She matched all seven numbers in a 7 Spot game and with a 5X multiplier and a 50 percent bonus ended up with a ticket worth $168,750.

Warner purchased her winning ticket from The House on South Miami Boulevard in Durham. She claimed her prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $120,251.

Hi, Donald! The winner played $5 per draw with Multiplier and matched 7/7 spots with a 5X Multiplier, winning $112,500. Tiffany also won 50% more because she purchased her lucky ticket during Keno Bonus Hours, making her total win $168,750!

Almost 6 years and this is the largest prize. Anybody that plays Keno from here on out really needs to find out if they are addicted. Obviously everybody’s happy for this lady. No one and I mean no one has ever won the million dollar prize. This game needs to be banned.

$168,000. The biggest keno jackpot in history. This is so ridiculous. Good for her. They’re taking in $50,000 a week off of this game $200,000 a month and no labor just a computer players need to boycott this game.
