Wilmington office to open at noon on Thursday

Due to adverse weather conditions from Tropical Storm Idalia, the opening of our Wilmington regional office and claims center on Thursday, Aug. 31, will be delayed until noon.

All other lottery offices in the state, including the Raleigh headquarters and regional offices and claims centers in Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Greenville, and Greensboro, are operating on a normal schedule on Thursday.

All lottery drawings will be held as scheduled.

Stay safe. Your prizes will be waiting on you after the storm passes.

You to should be happy you won i have been playing 18 years second chances won nothing i have won a few dollars online play quick pick draws if i do every win hope it comes back in as fast as it come out of my account because they have had all my information for years that you have to send before you can play

I noticed from a previous comment from 8/31/23, this problem has been going on for quite sometime. It is now October, 2 months later and the lottery commission still has not resolved this issue. When a player plays on line their money is taken out of their account immediately, so if you need to hire additional people, the commission should do that. It's very discouraging to play online if a player can't receive their money in an acceptable time frame. I will certainly not encourage patrons to play online and will warn others not to because of the time delay in receiving their funds. Thanks.NC Lottery
