Powerball jackpot increases to $88 million

For the upcoming Monday night drawing, a jackpot winner could choose the $88 million annuity or a lump sum valued at $43.5 million in cash.

Players continue to win big prizes in the drawings as the jackpot climbs. In Saturday night’s drawing, a lucky $2 ticket from Murphy on East Dixie Drive in Asheboro won $50,000.

Winners have 180 days from Saturday’s drawing to claim their prizes.

Players can buy Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.

If your information is the same, you shouldn't need to upload the license again - you'll only need to provide these documents if you complete a withdrawal to a new payment method or have some other change to your account; in that case, you can submit a copy of the updated license to the Secure Document Upload.

Congrats to the PB winner :-) NCEL we have always supported the lottery, and we play very responsibly, and have never had any issues with payouts. However, we have three pending rather decent size digital winnings that have been sitting since January 6. We’ve called the lottery and also use the online chat. They don’t need anything else from us verification wise as we have submitted everything previously there’s really no explanation they give us, but the same thing that they are “backlogged”. It’s so strange because our first digital winning paid out within 48 hours but now these larger ones have just been sitting, as we said, we are not one to complain, but there has to be a better way to do this. It has definitely made us not play any digital or any online again. The safest bet is to play everything in person where you can get your instant payouts unless they are large enough to go to the lottery office but it has been really frustrating not to be able to collect our great winnings.
