Greensboro man enjoys $150,000 scratch-off win

Ian Courts of Greensboro took a chance on a $5 scratch-off on Wednesday and won a $150,000 top prize.

Courts purchased his lucky Xtreme Cashword ticket from Penny Saver on Lees Chapel Road in Greensboro.

He collected his prize at lottery headquarters Thursday and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $107,251.

The Xtreme Cashword game debuted this month with six $150,000 top prizes. Four $150,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
