Granville County woman wins first $100,000 prize in new game

Elizabeth Agueda Arizmendi of Creedmoor took a chance on a $30 scratch-off and won the first $100,000 prize in a new lottery game.

Arizmendi purchased her lucky Millionaire Bucks ticket from the Wegmans on Davis Drive in Morrisville.

She collected her prize at lottery headquarters Thursday and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,509.

The Millionaire Bucks game debuted this month with four $5 million top prizes and 10 $100,000 prizes. Four $5 million prizes and nine $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

I feel the pain on that buying a roll comment. I have purchased a few rolls myself and none have been profitable... That is not the way to go in my opinion just go store to store and buy what would equal up to $1500 and see how it turns out. But way my luck is going I want to leave it all alone. It's been like throwing money out the window with the lottery of late. :(
