Henderson County man wins $100,000, his second big lottery win

Sheldon Capps of Hendersonville won big playing the lottery four years ago and he just did it again with a $100,000 scratch-off win.

He previously won $200,000 on a Bonus Bucks ticket in July of 2020.

This time, Capps’ big win came with a $5 Fire ticket from Norm’s Minit Mart on Spartanburg Highway in Hendersonville.

He arrived at lottery headquarters Friday to collect his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,501.

Congrats! Some people just have all the LUCK. I can not WIN cost of ticket now a days. As far as Digital Instants People must love the BISON game progressive, because it has caught and passed the Multipler Mania Diamond edition game...which I have found to be horrible I have went 20 plays not a single WIN on that game.

NCEL: How does a person win on a game that clearly says ENDED? Under scratch-offs tab, it says ENDED, claims only thru 11/21/24....so why hadn't these tickets been picked up? please answer...NC Lottery
Hi, Gina! As you mentioned, this game has ended but prizes are able to be claimed until November 21st. We aren't sure when this winner purchased their ticket, but they came in to claim now before the claim deadline. :)
