5-5-5 wins Pick 3 players more than $3 million

Wow! Congratulations go out to all our Pick 3 players who played trips of 5-5-5 over the weekend.

Those numbers in Friday night’s Pick 3 drawing delivered over $3 million in prizes for lottery players.

In all, the drawing produced 7,782 winning tickets. A player with a fifty-cent ticket that matched all three numbers won $250 and a player with a $1 ticket won $500.

Combinations of three of the same numbers, known as “trips”, are some of the most popular sets of numbers played. Whatever three numbers you pick, the odds of matching exactly all three in a Pick 3 drawing are the same: 1 in 1,000.

Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.

You can buy Pick 3 tickets at your favorite store or on our website using the Online Play program or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.
