Concord man bags $1 million scratch-off prize

Sidney Cunningham of Concord tried his luck on a $10 scratch-off ticket and won a $1 million prize.

Cunningham bought his lucky Jumbo Bucks ticket from the Food Lion on Wilson Grove Road in Mint Hill.

When Cunningham arrived at lottery headquarters Wednesday, he had a decision to make. He could choose to receive the prize as an annuity of $50,000 over 20 years or a lump sum of $600,000. He chose the lump-sum amount of $600,000 and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $429,003.

Jumbo Bucks debuted in June with seven $1 million prizes. Three $1 million prizes remain to be claimed.

Wow! Congratulations! Now looking at the cash5 draw last night 2-14-24. Ball drop on the original drawing,12-13-16, but look at the double play numbers, 12-13-16, that's the same number for the rolling ball drops. 12-13-16. They say double play is a RNG computer picks. But same 3 numbers coming out on cash5 and double play also. I'd say that amazing!

I thought our government is corrupt and they are but nc lottery takes the top pick on that I have counted up 9 top prizes and powerball win since first of the year and to now with in 25 miles of Charlotte people better wake up that not living around Charlotte
