Wake County man celebrates $100,000 scratch-off win

Jaydev Trivedi of Cary took a chance on a $30 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.

Trivedi bought his lucky $5,000,000 Ultimate ticket from Plaza Convenience on North Harrison Avenue in Cary, a store he owns. He bought the ticket from a clerk at the store.

He arrived at lottery headquarters Thursday to claim his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,259.

The $5,000,000 Ultimate game debuted in March 2023 with five $5 million top prizes and 15 $100,000 prizes. Three $5 million prizes and six $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

Yeah and the people that want to win bc they want to do good things and help themselves and others don’t win and the peole that do win spend it all on family vacations. Go figure. However, everyone is entitled to spend their winnings the way they want to. :(

Wake county Raleigh Durham. I’m not gonna complain anymore. It’s gotten so obvious. It’s ridiculous now. I’m not speaking for myself. I’m speaking for everybody else. The new lottery website is horrible. Do a survey. You’re gonna be surprised when 95% of the people say it’s horrible.
