Alexander County woman bags first $150,000 top prize in new digital instant game

Samantha Crouch of Taylorsville tried her luck on a new digital instant game on Friday and won the first $150,000 top prize.

Crouch won her big prize playing Skee-Ball. She played $30 to win $150,000 and the odds of that win are 1 in 1 million.

She claimed her prize at lottery headquarters Wednesday in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $107,259.

Digital instant games are played exclusively online on the lottery’s website or on the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Twenty-two different games are available to play online now.

Alexander County received $5.4 million from money raised by the lottery to help with school renovations. For details on other ways money raised by the lottery made a difference for education programs in Alexander County last year, visit www.nclottery.com and click on the “Impact” section.

Well done. It seems strange that it’s the first jackpot. Stopped playing because of this. I’ll stick to my normal games. Especially while you’re playing in the game starts getting glitchy you automatically know you’re gonna lose.
