Another big congratulations goes out to Ashe, Clay, Craven, Greene, Halifax, and Robeson counties!
These six counties received school construction grants totaling $74.6 million from the lottery-funded Needs-Based Public School Capital Fund. Last month, we shared the good news about 10 counties receiving grants to kickstart new school projects across our great state.
Here’s where that money is going:
Craven County received $15.3 million for additions and renovations to Tucker Creek Middle School.
The following counties also received grants to help with the rising costs of school construction projects:
- Ashe County – $12 million
- Clay County – $12 million
- Greene County – $12 million
- Halifax County – $11.3 million
- Robeson County – $12 million
Every single one of these grants came from money raised by the lottery thanks to your play.
There are now 56 counties that have received an award since the start of the Needs-Based Public School Capital Fund grant in 2017.
Thank you for supporting this great cause.
