Union County man wins $100,000 prize on scratch-off

Bobby Lynch of Wingate took a chance on a $30 scratch-off ticket and won a $100,000 prize.

Lynch bought his lucky 200X The Cash ticket from Xpress Mart on U.S. 74 East in Wingate.

He arrived at lottery headquarters Tuesday to collect his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,509.

The 200X The Cash game debuted in March 2022 with six top prizes of $5 million and 18 $100,000 prizes. One $5 million prize and one $100,000 prize remain to be claimed.

When you view the Powerball winning payouts, how come it doesn`t show the number of winning tickets when one hits the jackpot but it does show how many won by hitting 4 numbers or less?NC Lottery
Hey, Timothy! We show all NC Lottery winners from a given drawing - so if one of the payouts is showing 0, such as the jackpot, that just means there were no jackpot winners in that drawing.
