Powerball players in North Carolina, especially those around Greensboro and Stallings, should double-check any tickets they have to see if they are the winner of two unclaimed prizes worth $100,000 and $200,000.
The $100,000 prize came from a $3 Power Play ticket purchased for the Dec. 25 drawing and will expire on Saturday, June 22. The $50,000 prize doubled to $100,000 when the 2X multiplier was drawn. Since it expires on a Saturday and the lottery office is closed, the winner has until Monday at 5 p.m. to claim the prize. It was sold at Publix on West Gate City Boulevard in Greensboro.
The $200,000 prize came from a $3 Power Play ticket purchased for the Dec. 30 drawing and will expire on Thursday, June 27. The $50,000 prize quadrupled to $200,000 when the 4X multiplier was drawn. It was sold at the 7-Eleven on Idlewild Road in Stallings in Union County.
Both tickets matched the numbers on four white balls and the red Powerball to win the prize. The odds of matching four white balls and the red Powerball are 1 in 913,129.

10-11-26-27-34 and Powerball of 7
To help find the winners, the Education Lottery is sharing news about the unclaimed prizes with statewide media, posting alerts on the lottery’s website and social media channels, and working with the stores to post banners alerting customers of the unclaimed prizes.
