John Robbins of Wilmington won big playing the lottery two years ago and he just did it again with a $100,000 scratch-off win.
Robbins previously won $2 million on an Ultimate 7’s ticket in May of 2022.
“I was told lightning can’t strike twice but I guess it can,” Robbins said.
He bought his lucky $30 Black Titanium ticket from the Han-Dee Hugo’s on North College Road in Wilmington, the same store where he won his first big prize.
“I was definitely excited because I have some dreams I want to work on,” he said.
For Robbins, giving back to the Wilmington community has been a passion for a long time.
“My dream is to make a difference in Wilmington,” Robbins said. “I want to give back to people here who are less fortunate. I want to do something to help change that."
He arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to collect his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,509.
The Black Titanium game debuted last June with six $4 million top prizes and 16 $100,000 prizes. Three $4 million prizes and five $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
