Rockingham County woman bags $250,000 scratch-off prize

Brenda Broadnax of Reidsville tried her luck on a $5 scratch-off and won a $250,000 top prize.

Broadnax bought her lucky 20X The Cash ticket from Freeway Mart on Freeway Drive in Reidsville.

She claimed her prize at lottery headquarters Monday and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $178,751.

The 20X The Cash game debuted in February with 10 $250,000 top prizes. Two $250,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

Angela I have the same thing happen to me. In the demo mode I win lots of money and then when i put in money for real i lose big time. I sm leaving those games alone. I would rather but scratch offs.

Congrats! Well @NCEL another bad day on Digital Instant Progressive games and still no Jackpot or anything else for that matter. Between last night and today I have lost four figures and then played DEMO mode, because I can't play no more for $ and what do you know I got the BONUS 3 times in 5 plays to WIN over 2K...
