Ruby Rozenblad of New Bern tried her luck on a Fast Play ticket on Tuesday and won a $287,870 jackpot.
She bought her lucky $5 Rockin’ Bingo ticket from the Publix on South Glenburnie Road in New Bern. At the time of the win, the jackpot stood at $575,740. Since Rozenblad purchased a $5 ticket, she received 50% of the jackpot.
Rozenblad arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to collect her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $205,828.
Fast Play features an instantly growing jackpot that increases with every ticket sold until it is won. As of Monday afternoon, the Fast Play jackpot stands at $350,000 and counting.
