Mega Millions jackpot reaches $800 million for tonight’s drawing

The Mega Millions jackpot just crossed a major milestone and now stands at $800 million for Tuesday’s drawing.

The jackpot, if won, would represent the seventh largest in the game’s history.

A winner in Tuesday’s drawing would have the choice of taking home the $800 million jackpot as an annuity or $401.8 million in cash.

In Friday’s Mega Millions drawing, three $2 tickets in North Carolina matched four white balls and the yellow Mega Ball to win $10,000. The lucky tickets came from:

  • Ingles on Greenwood Road in Spruce Pine
  • Circle K on South Key Street in Pilot Mountain
  • Speedway on N.C 56 in Creedmoor

The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million.

Players can buy Mega Millions tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com, or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.
