North Carolinians can have fun this week playing Mega Millions and Powerball as the two jackpots combine for over $950 million.
Tuesday’s $650 million Mega Millions jackpot ranks as the 10th largest in the history of the game. A winner would have the choice of taking home the $650 million jackpot as an annuity or $304.1 million in cash.
A winner in tonight’s Powerball drawing would have the choice of taking home the $304 million jackpot as an annuity or $144.6 million in cash.
Even though both jackpots remain up for grabs, players are taking home lots of other prizes playing Mega Millions and Powerball. Friday’s Mega Millions drawing produced over 11,700 winning tickets in North Carolina. Saturday’s Powerball drawing saw over 20,500 winning tickets.
The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 290 million. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
