Coming this February, Lucky for Life will get a major makeover with a new name and a new top prize!
We will share all the exciting details with you soon enough, but there are a couple items you need to be aware of right now as we prepare for the new game.
Starting with tonight’s Lucky for Life drawing, the number of drawings you can buy tickets for in advance using Online Play, currently 90 drawings, will slowly decrease.
This process, called a stepdown, will continue until Feb. 21 when tickets can only be purchased for that day’s drawing.
The reason is simple. The old game will go away and the new game with new prizes, odds and rules will begin.
If you buy tickets at retail stores, the stepdown will not begin until Jan. 25. That’s because the maximum number of drawings you can buy tickets for at a store is 28.
When the new game begins on Feb. 22, players will be able to once again purchase tickets for up to 90 drawings of the new game, just like they did with the older version of the game. Players can again choose the auto-renewal option when buying their tickets as well.
