Hoang Ho of Statesville tried his luck on a $20 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.
Ho bought his lucky Ruby Red 7's ticket at Beaver’s General Store on Mocksville Highway in Statesville.
He arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to claim his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,756.
The Ruby Red 7's game debuted in August with three $2 million top prizes and nine $100,000 prizes. Two $2 million prizes and four $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
