Charlotte woman celebrates $250,000 holiday scratch-off win

Christine Dominey of Charlotte took a chance on a $20 holiday scratch-off and won a $250,000 top prize.

Dominey bought her lucky Winter Winfall ticket from the Publix on South Tryon Street in Charlotte.

She arrived at lottery headquarters Friday to claim her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $179,381.

The Winter Winfall game debuted in November with three $250,000 top prizes. One $250,000 prize remains to be claimed.
