Iredell County man wins $324,564 jackpot

Chad Welch of Mooresville took a chance on a $1 Cash 5 ticket and won a $324,564 jackpot.

Welch bought his lucky Quick Pick ticket using Online Play. His ticket matched all five numbers in the Oct. 6 drawing to win the jackpot. Welch won half of the $649,128 total jackpot after another ticket also matched all five numbers. The odds of matching all five balls are 1 in 962,598.

He claimed his prize at lottery headquarters Thursday and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $232,878.

Cash 5 is one of six lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying their tickets at a retail location or with Online Play through the lottery’s website or the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Thursday’s jackpot is $100,000.

I have been trying for days to enter my scratch off ticket #'s to the Lucke Rewards section. I am having the same problem as all the other people posting here. I get the same run around about waiting 72 hours and checking points history. They are not registering after I enter and click submit. It it's a "glitch" someone needs to fix it. I noticed from other remarks this has been going on since March 3 - today is March 17NC Lottery

3rd day in a row ticket entries don't work. Don't think having someone try and talk me through via support will help...it appears to be a GLITCH that is going on after updates to this site. Several others here are having the same issue per reading though the recent comments. Not going to fret it much ( never win anything) but somebody else might.
