Forsyth County man bags $415,970 Fast Play jackpot

Stephen Smith of Pfafftown took a chance on a $20 Fast Play ticket on Wednesday and won a $415,970 jackpot.

Smith bought his lucky 100X The Cash ticket from the Quality Mart on Yadkinville Road in Pfafftown. At the time of his purchase, the jackpot stood at $215,970. Since Smith bought a $20 ticket, he received 100% of the progressive jackpot plus $200,000.

He arrived at lottery headquarters on Friday to collect his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $298,464.

The jackpot represents the second Fast Play jackpot won by Smith. He previously won a $1.13 million jackpot on March 2.

Fast Play features an instantly growing jackpot that increases with every ticket sold until it is won. As of Monday morning, the Fast Play jackpot stands at $54,000 and counting.

I will never buy another ticket for this game, if it’s not outright rigged, then you have a real problem lottery in how your Jackpots are dispersed. Same guy, same town, same store, $20 ticket Jackpot winner, 5 weeks apart. This has to be statistically impossible in any game run above board.NC Lottery
The odds of winning twice are extremely high, but not impossible! When you purchase a Fast Play ticket it is played against a "full deck" of all the possible outcomes. Meaning each purchase has the same chance to win every prize, including the jackpot.

Hmmm...I thought when I saw another big win in Pffaftown some rang familiar. Congrats on the win, BUT, goes to show you NCEL's algorithms are whacked no matter how they try to spin it. One person to win over 1.5M on the same game in the same town in roughly a month?!?!? Those kind of odds would be astronomical, but it works with the flawed system. Same as the more-than-average $100K plus wins coming out of Wake county.
