Carolina Cash 5 players in North Carolina, especially those around Fayetteville, should double-check any tickets they have to see if they are the winner of an unclaimed $392,256 jackpot.
The ticket was purchased for the Nov. 5 drawing and will expire on Sunday, May 4. It was sold at the Circle K on 1902 Owen Drive in Fayetteville.
The ticket matched the numbers on all five white balls to win the jackpot. The winning numbers for the drawing were:
“Search everywhere you keep your tickets and double-check any you have to see if you hold the winning ticket,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “We hope that whoever purchased this ticket comes forward to claim the prize soon so we can celebrate the big win.”
The odds of matching all five white balls in a Cash 5 drawing are 1 in 962,598.
To claim the prize, the ticket must be presented at lottery headquarters in Raleigh by 5 p.m. on Monday, May 5. The ticket expires May 4 but since the claim center is closed on Sunday, the winner has until Monday to claim the prize. This deadline ends the 180-day period for winners to claim prizes from the Nov. 5 drawing.
To help find the winner, the Education Lottery is sharing news about the unclaimed prize with statewide media, posting alerts on the lottery’s website and social media channels, and hanging a banner in the store alerting customers to the unclaimed prize.
