Fourteen scratch-off games will end soon

Fourteen games are ending Friday, May 30, so go get lucky while they are still for sale.

$30 ticket: Millionaire Maker
$20 ticket: Merry Multiplier
$10 tickets: Holiday Cash Blowout, Multiplier Mania, Jumbo Bucks
$5 tickets: Holiday Cash 50X, Red Hot Slots, Emerald 8s, 20X The Cash (921)
$3 ticket: 15X Cashword
$2 tickets: Holiday Cash 20X, 10X The Cash (919)
$1 tickets: Holiday Cash 10X, $50 Loaded

You’ll have 90 days to claim any prizes you’ve won after the game ends.

All prizes from these 14 games must be claimed on or before Thursday, Aug. 28.

Claims between $600 and $99,999 must be made at one of the six regional claim centers before 5 p.m. that day. Claims of $100,000 or more must be made at lottery headquarters in Raleigh before 5 p.m. on that day as well.

Mail-in claims must be received within 90 days of the official end-of-game date. Remember, postmarks will not satisfy the 90-day requirement.

@NCEL does each store choose which scratch offs they want to sell? I'm Noticing some stores have 20 or more different scratch offs while others only have 10. Another thing is some stores won't let you cash in your tickets even if it's only $50 nor will they let you use the win to buy more tickets. I understand not giving the cash winning if the store is low on cash but not being able to use towards a purchase doesn't make sense.NC Lottery
Hi, Latandra! Stores are able to choose their inventory based on what's popular with their players. Additionally, retailers should be able to cash in prizes up to $600, and if they don't have cash on hand, they should offer another form of payment like a cashier's check or money order. We recommend checking with a larger retailer, like a grocery store, if you're having trouble claiming a prize from a ticket.

I wish the lottery wouldnt end a ticket like the Millionaire Maker with 5 top $1 million prizes left. That doesnt make sense to me when its a game that NCEL chose to reload.NC Lottery
Hey there, William! We wish every game could remain for sale until every prize is won, but unfortunately, that isn't always the case. Player demand and inventory space mean we sometimes have to end a game with prizes remaining. If we do, 50% of those remaining prizes go to education, and the other 50% of the funds are used as prizes for other games and promotions.

NCEL correct me if I am wrong. It seems like when the lottery first started each scratch off ticket would say on the front. For example $5.00 scratch off ticket would say $200,000.000 in payout prizes on this game. Why does each scratch game not have that on the front of the card anymore?NC Lottery

@NCEL lottery it is very sad that we as players purchase all these losing tickets over the run of a game and now that supply is low, but games still have top prizes the game ends! I have been playing at least four of these games at every store I stop at if they have the game. $20 ticket: Merry Multiplier (1) top remaining, $10 tickets: Holiday Cash Blowout (98) top prizes remaining, $5 tickets: Holiday Cash 50X (1) top prize remaining, and Emerald 8s (2) top prizes remaining! Then you roll this money into a new game that we as players have to start all over again winning face value prizes or nothing at all!NC Lottery
Hi, Angela! In a perfect world, we would release a new game and players would enjoy playing it and all of the prizes would be won before we end the game. However, sometimes games are no longer popular, or retailers aren't ordering them anymore, and it makes more sense to end a game and replace it with one that has more prizes available to be won.
