Cash POP promotion to end Friday, May 23

Cash POP’s Free POP Fridays have been a huge hit with players across the state.

Players purchasing a Cash POP 5-POP ticket on Fridays in May have received an additional 5-POP ticket for free.

Originally planned to continue through May 30, the promotion has exceeded all expectations, with more than 101,362 free tickets provided to players during the first three Fridays and is now ending after four Fridays.

Free POP Fridays gave players an extra reason to try the new draw game and five extra chances for a win! And with over $3.4 million in prizes paid in Cash POP drawings during the first three Fridays alone, there has been a lot of winning going on.

Very disappointed that the Free Friday CashPop was discontinued. I went into my local retailer this morning, paid for a few slips, and no free ticket printed. No one at the store knew anything about it being discontinued. I called the lottery office and was told that “the promotion exceeded our expectations, and we had to cancel it," which translates into "we paid out more than we thought we would, so we are going to cut our losses." Of course, if the lottery truly were "losing" then they would shut down. I guess I should be thanking them because now I will be saving a few hundred dollars each week NOT playing. Thanks for ultimately saving me some money! I hope that others start thinking the same way!

See the difference is people spent the $ to get the guaranteed free ticket on this promotion whereas the other promotion on pick-3 was rigged to only give out random tickets even if you spent the required amount. @NCEL will never lose thus the system is rigged for them all the time.

The amount of repeats in both pick 3 and pick 4 should really be looked into. There are many combinations of numbers that can be thrown, many that have not been out in years. But, the ones that runs the website, wants to tell players the set of numbers has the same possibilities of coming out. I know it’s a gamble, but players expect to loss some but expect to win some too. Oh and what are the changes that NC, threw the same evening number 6661, that SC threw just hours before. No need to respond. I’m saying we see the games being played. With the low payouts, y’all been having lately, y’all have enough to pay out some big. NC players, time to lay low.

This is BS! Lottery is becoming a scamming. Yall have it posted at all the store this promotion is going till may 30th! So this is false advertising and a scam. Please continue this as originally planned. Also, if each participant received an additional 50POP ticket for free, how could 101,362 free tickets have been provided; it is not a multiple of 5.NC Lottery
Hi, Stephen! Each participant in this promotion received a free 5-POP ticket, but 101,362 is the number of free tickets printed, not the number of POPs.

Who are you kidding? Friday alone you paid that over $5 million!! I’m guessing you were losing losing money! I’ve heard stories online people bought thousands of tickets winning hundreds of thousands of dollars!

@NCEL. You all have cheated the players again. You advertise something and change the rules to the game again. I played POP every Friday never won anything over $30, but continued to purchase tickets. I was looking for my big win this coming up Friday, because I was going all out with $10 cover all. It is ashamed this is legal @NCEL!

NCEL, it doesn't matter what you give away for "free" when your games are rigged. Janky games like this, Pick 3, Pick 4, etc. They're not even retirement money games. Yet, you probably pull in more money from them because of the misconception of an easier win. Shame on you!
