Haywood County man snags $200,000 scratch-off win

Robert Patten of Waynesville took a chance on a $5 scratch-off and won a $200,000 top prize.

Patten bought his lucky Prize Link Multiplier ticket from Southeast Energy on Russ Avenue in Waynesville.

He arrived at lottery headquarters Wednesday to claim his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $143,501.

The Prize Link Multiplier game debuted in April with five $200,000 top prizes. Two $200,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

That's wonderful... NCEL any update on the Cash 5 winners for the month of May. When will the winners be announced on the winners dashboard? Also sure would be nice if A comment/opinion board was available.NC Lottery

The two Cash 5 winners from May are not shown on the Winners page as these were Online Play wins, and the Winners page on our site only shows wins from tickets purchased at NC Lottery retailers.
