Powerball jackpot surges to $643 million for tonight’s drawing

Powerball players in North Carolina have lots of reasons to get excited tonight with a $643 million jackpot up for grabs.

A winner on Wednesday could claim the jackpot as a $643 million annuity or $290.6 million in cash. Tonight’s prize represents the largest Powerball jackpot since April 2024.

  • 24,718: That’s the total number of winning tickets in Monday’s Powerball drawing
  • $11.7 million: That’s the estimate of how much money has been raised for education during the current Powerball run

Powerball has gone 34 straight drawings without a jackpot win. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.

Players can buy Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com.
