A Powerball ticket could make your Labor Day a life-changing holiday if it wins Monday’s drawing for a $1.1 billion jackpot.
The $1.1 billion jackpot ranks as the fifth highest ever. You could chose to collect the jackpot as a $1.1 billion annuity or take home $498.4 million in cash.
You will be playing for the largest jackpot since April 6, 2024 when an Oregon man won a $1.3 billion jackpot.
Enjoy dreaming this holiday weekend about what you might do if you win.
Odds to win the jackpot are 1 in 292 million. It only takes one ticket to win. Buying multiple tickets don’t change your chances hardly at all.
Nine ways to win exist in each drawing. So always check your tickets to see how many numbers you match.
In Saturday’s drawing, three tickets in our state matched four of the white balls and the red Powerball ball to win $50,000. One, a $3 Power Play ticket, tripled in value to $150,000 after the 3x multiplier came up in the drawing.
Here’s where those wins occurred:
- A $150,000 win in Monroe with a $3 Power Play ticket bought at Rollinghill Express on West Roosevelt Boulevard.
- A $50,000 win in Fayetteville with a $2 ticket bought at Short Trip #2 on Stoney Point Road in Fayetteville.
- A $50,000 win in Salisbury with a $2 ticket bought at Han-Dee Hugo’s on East Innes Street in Salisbury.
If you won a prize on Saturday, you have 180 days to claim it.
Good luck in our Powerball drawing on Labor Day.
