Forsyth County woman enjoys $100,000 scratch-off win

Loretta Funchess of Pfafftown took a chance on a $30 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.

Funchess bought her lucky $5,000,000 Ultimate ticket from Quality Mart on Yadkinville Highway in Pfafftown.

She arrived at lottery headquarters Friday to claim her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,758.

The $5,000,000 Ultimate game debuted in March 2023 with five $5 million top prizes and 15 $100,000 prizes. Three $5 million prizes and four $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

Overpriced, rigged scratch off ticket with the worst second chance drawing at $30 a scratch. All this ticket premier did was expose the length of greed that has corrupted NCEL worse every year.

Things that make you 'Hmmm...' Quality Mart in in Pfafftown....yep, same one. Mind you this store also sold 2 winning tickets equalling about $1.5M back in March/April - to the same customer. Now, Ms. Funchess scores $100K from this same store. This coipled with a higher than state average of $100K winners coming out of Wake county. NCEL has serious algorithm and distribution flaws.
