Tonight’s Powerball jackpot grows to $426 million

The Powerball jackpot continues its climb as it now stands at $426 million for Monday’s drawing.

A winner tonight could claim the jackpot as a $426 million annuity or $193.5 million in cash.

Even though the jackpot remains up for grabs, players are taking home lots of other prizes. Saturday’s Powerball drawing produced more than 23,000 winning tickets in North Carolina.

North Carolinians also help education programs in the state when they play Powerball. The current Powerball run has raised almost $8 million for education in North Carolina.

Players can buy Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
