Powerball features a $449 million jackpot for tonight’s drawing

The Powerball game continues its momentum as it now offers a $449 million jackpot on Wednesday night.

A winner tonight could claim the jackpot as a $449 million annuity or $203.9 million in cash.

While players keep trying for the jackpot, one lucky ticket in North Carolina matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in Monday’s drawing. The ticket came from the Food Lion on Wilkesboro Boulevard Northeast in Lenoir.

  • 16,678: That’s the total number of winning tickets in Monday’s Powerball drawing
  • $8.2 million: That’s the estimate of how much money has been raised for education during the current Powerball run

Players can buy Powerball tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.nclottery.com. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.

Winning this lottery would be a dream & blessing come true. I’m a 55 year old mother of seven, Mimi of eight with a new little miracle coming on October. I have worked paycheck to paycheck my entire life. I would be able to live a more comfortable life. I would be able to feed my family. Help my kids with their families.
