Gaston County man wins $200,000 scratch-off prize

Edilson Rios Martinez of Gastonia tried his luck on a $5 scratch-off and won a $200,000 prize.

Rios Martinez bought his lucky $200,000 Triple Play ticket from Joe’s Kwik Marts on University City Boulevard in Charlotte.

He arrived at lottery headquarters Thursday to claim his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $131,500.

The $200,000 Triple Play game debuted in June with four $200,000 top prizes. Two $200,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

Wow what a win. Enjoy. ? For the lottery.It was a time you could buy a ticket and win fair. Believe it or not,all was good until someone came out and told about the white line.It is real, in a small town mostly all I see are senior citizens getting tickets . A white line comes up and the clerk takes it. Numbers jump from12to14 to take the white line.It would be nice if you could take it out most players see this done.White line needs to go!!NC Lottery
