If you won tonight’s Powerball jackpot, you would get the choice of an annuity of $1.4 billion or more than $600 million in cash.
You would also win the fourth largest Powerball jackpot ever and the sixth largest in U.S. lottery history.
As a winner, you would get to choose your prize as an annuity or lump sum. If you chose the annuity, you would get a first payment of $21 million and then get payments annually for the next 29 years. The payments would get larger every year.
If you chose the lump sum, you would take home $634 million in cash.
What a great choice that would be for a lucky North Carolina winner.
