North Carolina’s free College Application Week gives prospective students the chance to apply to dozens of participating universities and community colleges at no cost, all from their computers. Many North Carolina schools are waiving their application fees from October 19, 7:30 a.m. to October 25, 5 p.m.

Completing FAFSA unlocks opportunities like the Next NC Scholarship, which helps cover tuition and fees at any state university or community college for eligible students from households with an adjusted gross income of $80,000 or less.
Money raised by the N.C. Education Lottery helps fund college scholarship opportunities, awarding more than 1 million scholarships and grants since 2006. This year, your play supports the Next NC Scholarship and the NC Scholarship for Children of Wartime Veterans. That means lottery dollars are helping students across the state turn their college goals into reality.
