Sarah Caldwell of Greensboro tried her luck on a $30 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.
Caldwell bought her lucky MAX-A-MILLION ticket from Aly USA on South Regional Road in Greensboro.
She arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to claim her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $72,018.
The MAX-A-MILLION game debuted in March 2025 with 25 top prizes of $1 million and 10 prizes of $100,000. Twelve $1 million prizes and five $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
