The Powerball jackpot just crossed a major milestone while Mega Millions continues to climb as well giving North Carolinians the chance to play for $880 million in jackpots this weekend.
A winner in Saturday’s Powerball drawing would have the choice of taking home the $516 million jackpot as an annuity or $212.6 million in cash.
A winner in tonight’s Mega Millions drawing would have the choice of taking home the $364 million jackpot as an annuity or $147.3 million in cash.
As the jackpots continue to grow, players are taking home other nice prizes. Wednesday’s Powerball drawing saw a lucky North Carolinian win a $50,000 prize. The winning ticket came from Online Play in Durham. Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing saw over 5,400 winners in the state.
The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 290 million. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
