Tracy Barringer of Richfield took a chance on the $1,000,000 Taxes Paid scratch-off game and won a $1.38 million top prize.
Barringer bought her lucky $10 ticket at the Refuel on U.S. 52 North in Albemarle. The odds of that win are 1 in 1.85 million.
She arrived at lottery headquarters Friday to claim her prize. The state and federal tax withholdings were paid from the total prize so Barringer went home with a $1 million win.
The $1,000,000 Taxes Paid scratch-off debuted in September with three $1.38 million prizes. One top prize remains to be claimed.
