Raleigh man collects $476,189 Cash 5 jackpot

Manuel Espinosa Cicero of Raleigh took a chance on a $1 Cash 5 ticket on Wednesday and won a $476,189 jackpot.

Espinosa Cicero bought his lucky ticket from Spring Mart on Spring Forest Road in Raleigh. The odds of matching all five balls are 1 in 962,598.

He claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, Espinosa Cicero took home $314,332.

Cash 5 is one of six lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying tickets at a retail location or with Online Play through the lottery’s website or the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Friday’s jackpot is $110,000.

Congrats Sir on your win! Now to the lottery. Why can't we pull up the rewards section on laptops. When checking to enter. And also on second chance games, when you have 20 people to win, you only post about 12 names, and write the rest to be announced. If the drawing was that day what's up?NC Lottery

NCEL: you basically admitted your algorithms are built to favor high population areas. If you were actually 'fair, it should not matter whether you live in a small or big county. The stats prove most big winners come from Wake. NC Lottery
Hi Floyd, every lottery ticket has an equal chance at winning, regardless of where it was purchased. If you were to move to a big city, you'd have more neighbors; if you moved to a tiny town, you'd have less. But what everyone would have in common in all those places is that each individual would have the exact same chance of winning a lottery prize!
