Pick 3 players win over $3.1 million on 8-8-8

Congratulations go out this afternoon to all our Pick 3 players who play trips of 8-8-8.

Those numbers in Monday afternoon’s Pick 3 drawing delivered over $3.1 million in prizes for lottery players.

In all, 13,750 winning tickets matched all three numbers. A player with a fifty-cent ticket won $250 and a player with a $1 ticket won $500.

Monday’s big win marks the third consecutive month with trips for lottery players after 2-2-2 hit in February and 0-0-0 hit in March.

Trips are combinations of three of the same numbers. They are some of the most popular sets of numbers played. Whatever three numbers you pick, the odds of matching exactly all three in a Pick 3 drawing are the same: 1 in 1,000.

Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.

You can buy Pick 3 tickets at your favorite store or on our website using the Online Play program.

Congrats to all I was back on the 000, but @NCEL you all really need to revisit the tax rule so a $600 can be cashed without going to a OFFICE and getting taxed...All $1 players now have to go to OFFICE to cash these tickets and get taxed.... plus we as players can play 1112 for .50 on Pick-4 and go to Food Lion and cash instead of going to OFFICE...why the odd 599 rule?NC Lottery
