The Mega Millions jackpot keeps climbing toward a major milestone and Powerball continues to build momentum as well with the two jackpots combining to offer $837 million this weekend.
A winner in tonight’s Mega Millions drawing would have the choice of taking home the $489 million jackpot as an annuity or $220.9 million in cash.
A winner in Saturday’s Powerball drawing would have the choice of taking home the $348 million jackpot as an annuity or $157.5 million in cash.
Even though both jackpots are still on a roll, players are taking home lots of other prizes playing Mega Millions and Powerball. Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing produced over 6,800 winning tickets in North Carolina. Wednesday’s Powerball drawing saw over 13,000 winning tickets.
The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 290 million. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
